When We Are Closed........

Call 999 in an emergency.

Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency, or any other condition where it is considered that your condition is serious and requires immediate medical intervention.

Wednesday afternoon

On Wednesday afternoons the practice is closed from midday. One of the practice doctors will be on duty for medical emergencies. The number to call in such a situation will be the doctor's mobile telephone number, and it is likely that when you ring the doctor's mobile you will need to leave a message with your name and telephone number, along with brief details of your problem.  Please ring the surgery to hear the pre-recorded message with the mobile number of the doctor on call.

Out of hours service

At all other times when we are closed please ring NHS 111 for urgent out of hours medical advice.

There is also a local walk in centre in Shrewsbury which is open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day of the year

  • Urgent Care Centre (next to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital)
  • Mytton Oak Road
  • Shrewsbury
  • SY3 8XQ
    Tel : 01743 231000

Please do not ask to speak to a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
